On Eid day, Bell Jamz and Swangz Avenue took the All Star Tour to Mbale SS grounds with performances from Bebe Cool, A Pass, Winnie Nwagi, Vinka, Vamposs and many more. The event was delayed due to a late evening downpour. However, the combination of the downpour and the World Cup games did not deter the people of Mbale who still turned up in large numbers.
The event started off with a deejay session with DJ Ali Breezy showing his prowess on the turntables. We must admit, the Mbale crowd has got some moves. Everyone was on their feet dancing. Local artists from within the region, French Nezza, Rexy and Inspector Jail were also on the line-up for the event.
The performances kicked off after 10p.m. with Swangz Avenue’s Vinka taking the lead and performing her hit singles, Overdose, Love doctor and finally the crowd favorite; “Chips Na Ketchup”. Winnie Nwagi took to the stage shortly after and also fired up the crowd with her performance.
However, the crown goes to Bebe Cool who took to the stage and electrified the crowd with his energetic performance. He kept the crowd engaged and had the longest performance of all. A Pass came on soon after with a thrilling performance.
Vamposs ended the night on a high note with his all-male dance crew who never fail to fire up a crowd. Everyone was chanting to Smart Wire and following the stage dance tutorial.
The All Star Tour is a national music celebration of the best of Ugandan music as Swangz Avenue commemorates its ten year anniversary. To prove that the event is about celebrating indigenous music talent, the event featured a Bell Jamz music session during which four upcoming artists were given a chance to showcase their talent and the crowd favorite was voted to proceed to the next All Star Tour destination.
