Andrew returned to UBL from Ethiopia where he was the Managing Director of Meta Abo business. He managed the transition of our Ethiopian beer business to BGI Castel, which ensured future growth opportunities for the business and its people.
He previously also served as the Sales Director in Uganda at UBL from 2010 to 2013, driving a turnaround within the business during this significant period when new investment in UBL was just starting.
Prior to the Ethiopia role, he was the Commercial Director at Kenya Breweries Limited since 2016, where he leveraged cutting-edge technology tools to build efficiency and effectiveness. As a result, KBL has received numerous Global awards on these initiatives and projects.
Andrew also served as Sales Director for the Premium Trade business in Kenya from 2013, where he led the spirits transformation by driving a robust IPS and reserve brands consumer participation.
Eunice joined UBL from Guinness Nigeria Plc (GN) where she worked as Head of Commercial Finance. She was core to building the long-term strategy, collaborating the MISSION workstreams, driving an optimal cash position, reframing MSS growth levers to beat plan and step-changing the controls environment.
Eunice is not new to East Africa and has flourished in other roles within EABL as Group Finance Controller and EABLi Finance Director and therefore brings with her passion, foresight and great breadth in Finance and Strategy but more importantly a willingness to champion new barriers and create break-through outcomes.
Emmy returned to UBL from Diageo Africa where he worked as Head of Innovation Commercialisation. He built deep relationships in each of the African markets and set up innovation commercialisation structures driving a huge capability shift in the region.
Emmy is not new to UBL, he joined UBL in 2012 as Head of Customer Marketing. In his time, he transformed the function from promotions focused function to the engine of commercial execution through setting up a clear planning and execution business rhythm focused on delivery of winning beer and spirits category growth drivers with customers and elevated Customer Marketing as a hub for top talent in the business.
Prior to joining Diageo, Emmy spent 6 years at Unilever. In his 2-year stint as Country Marketing Manager, Emmy led the Uganda marketing department delivering unprecedented growth on the key brands.
Emmy holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Makerere and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Liverpool.
Agnes joined UBL from British American Tobacco Area where she has been serving as Marketing, PRRP and Regulations Counsel for the East African Markets (EAM) Cluster, based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Agnes comes with a wealth of experience in the areas of Corporate Governance, Commercial Law, Land Transactions, Intellectual Property Management, Regulatory Review, Litigation, Labour and Retirement Benefits.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (Honors) from Makerere University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre. She is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) UK. She is an advocate of the High of Court of Uganda and a member of the Uganda Law Society and East African Law Society.
Anthony has been in Diageo for the last 22 years and started his career as a Brewer in Benin Brewery. Due to his stellar performance, he was nominated early in his career as one of the delegates drawn from across the globe to attend a Global Brewing Course & tour, a program facilitated by the Institute of Brewing & Distilling, UK.
Anthony’s career and work experience spans across Brewing, Inventory/Materials Management, Quality Assurance and Logistics. While in these roles, he was involved in New Product development, Process improvement programs and creating robust controls around inventory management and Engineering spares. He also led the team in Benin that worked on the ISO 22,000 certification for Food Safety in Nigeria. Guinness Nigeria became the 1st Company in Nigeria to be certified for Food Safety.
As Process Expert-Manufacturing, Anthony played a leading role in the deployment of SAP, a Financial Operating Model for the West African Markets, Ghana and Nigeria.
He also served as Packaging Manager for two (2) Breweries in Nigeria and progressed to lead the Lagos Brewery as Acting Site Director. While in the saddle at Lagos Brewery, he led the team to deliver transformational performance that earned the Lagos Brewery an unusual Market Award for Exceptional Performance and Super Engagement by the Guinness Leadership.
