Originally called The Buchanan Blend and sold in a black and white bottle "That black and white Whisky" became "Black & White" when the public took it to their hearts in 1902.
The Scottish Terriers have been iconic symbols of the brand since the early days. James Buchanan, an ardent animal lover, felt their playful, friendly and down to earth character was the ideal representation of the spirit of Black & White.
Blended to be an exceptionally smooth and mild blend designed to appeal to all. The blend style is light, fresh and spicy with a hint of smoke. Crisp grains work to maximum effect in reflecting the malts. A classic of its type.
Black & White is such a smooth, mild blend that it can be enjoyed neat or on the rocks even by consumers new to the taste of Scotch Whisky.
An alternative perfect serve is mixed with soda in a large glass with ice.
- Fill the branded glass with 40ml* of BLACK & WHITE
- Add a generous amount of ice cubes
- Add chilled soda
